LeBron James is not a fan of the new Rams-Saints “Fight for LA” marketing campaign. He says he would’ve torn up the Saints’ locker room if they didn’t agree to meet in Los Angeles in 2019, but stipulates that his team should be playing there instead.
The “who has missed the most game winning shots in nba history” is a question that many basketball fans have asked themselves. The answer to this question is not as obvious as you may think.
During his famous tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant left many renowned NBA players yearning for answers. In the heat of battle, he was ice cool and possessed a killer attitude that helped him win more often than not.
Bryant, on the other hand, famously scored a game-winning shot over future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade in 2009, and Wade stated he couldn’t be furious.
It had to be Kobe.

On Dec. 4, 2009, the Los Angeles Lakers were one of the top teams in the NBA, while the Miami Heat were just a good playoff team. The Lakers were 14-3 into a game against the Heat, who were 10-8.
However, the game came down to the wire, with Dwyane Wade’s side leading by two points with 3.2 seconds remaining. Kobe Bryant got an inbounds pass on the game’s last possession, but his foot slipped as he received the ball. Because of this (and Miami’s defense), he was forced to put up a 3-pointer in Wade’s face, and the ball wound up banking into the hoop as the buzzer rang. The Lakers triumphed 108-107.
Yes, Kobe hit the game-winning three-pointer.
According to ESPN, Bryant noted at the time, “It was by far the luckiest shot I’ve ever taken.” “It felt great, but I couldn’t believe this ball was going to go in on this stroke.”
After the defeat, Wade also offered credit where credit was due.
“I would have accepted it if you told me before the game that it would be decided by Kobe making a one-legged backboard 3,” Wade said, according to ESPN. “On that one, the basketball gods were on his side, but we did a fantastic job and did what we’re supposed to do on the road – give ourselves a chance to win.” However, a great golfer made an incredible shot. There are a few people in the NBA that make huge shots, but they’re few and far between, and he’s one of them.”
Wade has now revealed what was going through his thoughts at that incredible moment, more than a decade later.
Kobe’s shot was dubbed the ‘luckiest shot ever’ by Dwyane Wade.
The NBA’s YouTube channel recently released a video in which former and current players responded to some of the league’s most memorable events.

Wade described Kobe Bryant’s game-winning shot as “the luckiest shot ever.” “On the top of the key, one-legged, fading away.” It was a true Kobe experience. I couldn’t have been that angry because I glanced down and said, ‘That’s Kobe.’”
After Kobe’s shot, the camera cut to a behind-the-scenes footage of Wade and Bryant conversing in the Staples Center corridor.
“I’m not talking to you right now,” Wade joked in the video. It’s either laugh or weep for me; I’m not sure which one to choose. I’m going to burst out laughing.”
“I’m like, ‘Look, anyone else, I would’ve torn that locker room up,” he later claimed.
Players couldn’t be furious at Kobe because he was so terrific; they simply had to admire him.
With the Lakers, Kobe Bryant had numerous more game-winning shots.
Obviously, that jumper over Wade wasn’t Kobe Bryant’s lone buzzer-beater for the Lakers.
According to The Ringer, he has seven regular-season buzzer-beaters in his career, which is an NBA record (as of February 2020). In a first-round matchup against the Phoenix Suns in 2006, Bryant also hit a playoff buzzer-beater.
Wade, on the other hand, earned a name for himself by hitting five regular-season buzzer-beaters, tying him for fourth all-time (as of February 2020).
While Kobe Bryant may have sent Dwyane Wade home heartbroken on that specific night in 2009, Wade done the same to a slew of other players during his great career.
They were two of the finest players in the history of the game.
