The DC Universe Online (DCUO) team has announced the release of their new expansion, Legion of Doom. This new content will be available for purchase on December 13 and is set to launch in 2022.
The dc universe online is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Daybreak Game Company and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It has been in development since 2007, and was released on November 15, 2011.
With the House of Legends update for DC Universe Online having been launched in August, it’s safe to assume that most players are interested about what’s next for the superhero MMO. That’s where the most recent development update article comes in, with some early information on upgrades planned for December and the first half of 2022.
Episode 42: Legion of Doom will premiere in December, bringing a new multiverse-level danger in the shape of the returning Lex Luthor, the newly created Legion of Doom, and their recently liberated benefactor Perpetua, who was released from her incarceration after the Source Wall was broken. A new open world region located in Washington, D.C., a pair, an alert, and a new big raid offering four monster battles will all be included in this new episode.
The developers will continue to modify content scaling for the current episode, including adjustments to target combat scaling, early endgame bonuses, and other combat issues as players take on scaled On Duty content over the following several months. There will also be work on the UI for Doctor Fate’s daily prizes and Allies, as well as some backend work that should speed up the delivery of updates to the game.
The game’s anniversary event will take place in January, followed by two additional episodes in the second quarter and later in 2022, as well as a range of seasonal events such as Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and activities for the spring and summer seasons. The developers vow to “truly let free about 2022” in the next development update, which will be released in January. Meanwhile, the current update calendar may be seen below.
