Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s release date has been revealed to be October 6th 2019. Will anything new with this sequel?
The “space marine 2 2020” is the release date of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The game will be released on PC and Xbox One in 2020.
During The Game Awards 2021, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive presented Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 with a cinematic video announcing Captain Titus’ return. Despite the lack of a release date, the sequel seems to expand on the foundations laid by the first installment in the series in 2011, while also adding a new antagonist.
In Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, players wield the Empreror’s power against hordes of Tyranids storming an imperial capital, as shown in the teaser.
Captain Titus, the Space Marine captain who is being voiced by Clive Standen, who you may recall from the Vikings TV series, will not be reprised by Mark Strong.
The game’s introduction video, which you can see below, also shows Titus crashing into a group of Tyranids with his jump pack, but also blasting them away with his bolter and slashing through them with the Space Marines’ renowned chainsword.
We also see a destroyed but still gorgeous imperial capital, although a paragraph on the publisher’s website promises “great wars on far-flung worlds,” so we could end up journeying beyond it.
Although a release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has yet to be set, it’s encouraging to know that a sequel is on the road after a decade. Although the original had shortcomings, we dubbed it “one of 2011’s finest shocks” when we evaluated it.
